Oral presentations

Presentations can be a Powerpoint presentation or a Prezi presentation.

Prior to the meeting, oral presenters can submit their presentation(s) by email to eea2021@elasmobranch.nl.

Use the following format when naming your files: Last Name_First name_ 4 word titel summary, e.g. Johnson_Sarah_eggcase_study_skate_Scotland

If you use images from the web, make sure you are not breaking copyright law. You can ask permission from the source or use images that are licensed as Creative Commons. In addition, government images usually fall in the public domain and are free from copyright.

Poster presentations

All poster presentations will be displayed in Naturalis Biodiversity Center for the duration of the conference.

Poster set up is done before start of the conference, or in the coffee break on the day of your arrival. We will ask poster presenters to stand by their posters in coffee breaks to answer questions.

The maximum poster size is A0 portrait (841 x 1188 mm) or  A1 landscape  (591 x 841 mm). Presenters are responsible for bringing their own push pins and/or other materials to secure posters to the boards.

Some tips for presenters:

  • Include the title and authors of the poster as listed in your abstract;
  • Double-space all text, using left justification;
  • Suggested text size is no smaller than 22 point; Author(s) and affiliation(s) should be at least 42 point; Subheadings should be at least 60 point;
  • Printed images should have a resolution of at least 120 pixels per inch (ppi).

2-minute poster pitches
Each presenter will get the opportunity to present the subject of their poster on stage with a 2-minute pitch and a single Powerpoint slide. There sre 3 poster pitch session one Wednesday and one on Thursday. Poster presenters will receive the presentaiton schedule via email
