The Dutch Elasmobranch Society is pleased to host the 2020 EEA Scientific Conference from 28-30 October in Leiden, the Netherlands.  We hope to meet you at a stimulating conference where the latest and greatest in elasmobranch research will be presented. In keeping with the EEA’s role in providing an interface between science and policy, we have chosen as an underlying theme for this year’s meeting: “Are we there yet? What changes in the science and policy landscape have delivered for elasmobranch conservation.”

Conference sessions will cover, but are not limited to: science-base for conservation and management; challenges in data poor situations; life-history and population dynamics; movement ecology; coherence in international legislation and policy; selectivity, survival, and discards of elasmobranchs in fisheries; and future perspectives.
